Georgia GED® Graduate
"My husband and daughter are the biggest motivation behind me getting my GED. I have been staying home to take care of my 1st grader and making sure she has all the support she needs to succeed in school. We have a house and bills to pay though and in order to afford a better life for us, I knew going to school was the best thing for us. We have plans to travel in the future and ambitions for renovating our home into our dream home.
I like that the 2014 GED test is computer based. I had taken parts of the test in the mid 2000s and it was much more efficient. I liked that we could move onto different sections at our own pace. I also thought it was wonderful that the scores were available almost immediately.
I used different online resources. I googled areas that I needed the most help in. YouTube has some really great math videos that I found very helpful. I spent most of my time focusing on math.
I am taking the ACT on Sept. 13th and have applied for the Spring 2014 semester at Georgia State. I hope to get a B.F.A. in interior design, but I'm also considering other majors."
