Score level


GED® PASSING SCORE

The GED® Passing score level means that the test-taker earned a score of at least 145 and demonstrated skills equivalent to high school graduates. He or she is now eligible to earn a high school equivalency credential.

 

GED® COLLEGE READY

The GED® College Ready level means that the test-taker earned a score of at least 165 and has demonstrated skills that are consistent with those required to be college- and career- ready (CCR). In addition to earning a high school equivalency credential, he or she may also be eligible to enroll directly in credit-bearing courses in college/university, subject to the policies of the institution in which the student is enrolling.


GED® COLLEGE READY + CREDIT

The GED® College Ready + Credit level means that the test-taker earned a score of at least 175, has already demonstrated some of the skills that are taught in college-level courses and may be eligible for up to 10 semester-hours of college credit, subject to the policies of the institution in which the student is enrolling.
