Calculator for the GED® test

Prepare for your GED® test by learning about the approved calculators.

The GED® Mathematics Test is divided into two parts and each part has 25 questions. You can use one of the two approved calculators in an Official GED Testing Center™ on Part I of the test, depending on your test delivery format (paper or computer).


Calculator for the GED® test on paper

The testing center will provide you with the Casio FX260 handheld calculator.

Calculators for the GED® test on computer

Texas Instruments TI-30XS on-screen calculator will automatically be available when you sit for the GED® Mathematics Test on computer after September 4th, 2012.

If you choose to use the Casio FX260 handheld calculator, you must bring this calculator with you to the testing center for use with the GED® Mathematics Test on computer. No handheld calculator, other than the FX260, may be used.
